A Caterpillar excavator being towed by a dump truck hit a pedestrian bridge in California, closing the road.

A post by CHP Santa Cruz shows the boom impacting the bridge.

According to a report on CBS News San Francisco, the pedestrian bridge had a posted height of 15 feet.
