Man steals dozer, damages university property

A 27-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly stealing a crawler dozer from a construction site on the campus of Virginia State University, then proceeding to damage various property, according to news reports.

The incident began around 2 a.m., according to reports, and the damage included:

  • A VSU police car, flipped over and demolished
  • VSU Multi-Purpose Center, damage to the building and property
  • An elementary school
  • A church
