Volvo EC35C and ECR48C Mini ExcavatorsVolvo’s EC35C and ECR48C compact excavators both use the D2.2D diesel engine rated at 36.3 horsepower, but the 7,800-pound EC35C digs to 11 feet 10 inches from a conventionally designed upper structure, while the 10,700-pound ECR48C can dig more than 13 feet deep from a short-radius house that swings within the track width.

Simultaneous control of swing and boom offset enables faster, precise performance, and float function on the backfill blade speeds leveling and finish work. The joystick is equipped with an electronically proportional roller, allowing the operator to adjust hydraulic flow to the attachments as needed. A Volvo-patented mono-pump hydraulic system efficiently uses one system for all hydraulics.
