Since Toro's purchase of Ditch Witch in 2019, it's easy to tell there's been an influx of capital for company acquisitions as well as major product intros and improvements.
In a recent example, the Ditch Witch telematics system, Orange Intel, has been beefed up and reintroduced.
"There are contractors who need accurate production data to get paid on some of the larger underground jobs," says Cory Maker, product manager for Ditch Witch.
Indeed, footage drilled is one of the many parameters measured and reported on in real-time. Others include location and geofencing, fuel usage, and health diagnostics.
"It's now fully integrated across our lineup and includes two years of complimentary access," Maker says.
Customizable platform
Users are able to personalize dashboards and alerts to match their exact fleet needs, according to Maker. A "Data Explorer Tool" is designed to give managers a look at fuel usage, idle time, and equipment productivity across multiple sites.
"There's also built-in PM scheduling to manage costs and downtime even closer," Maker says.
Built-in analytics show "smart trendlines" and graphs of actionable insights at a glance, eliminating the need for managers to perform complex data analysis.
"The Data Explorer Tool provides a deeper dive into the data and lets you make company reports with your company's logo and information to confirm production and compliance," Maker says. "This has been big in California for jobs."
Tools and insights can be centralized through a MyDitchWitch app/account, and Maker says the system is available now through DitchWitch dealers.
