
Representative of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States are calling on the Justice Department to look into economic espionage at TuSimple, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal (link requires registration).
Separately, FreightWaves.com reports that the company has denied the report and continues to cooperate with the Committee.
The Committee is led by the Treasury Department and includes participation by the Justice and Defense departments and other federal agencies, according to the Journal report.
According to the publication, the allegations stem from the Committee’s investigation into possible transfers of technology to a Chinese startup.
