Makinex Forced Action Mixer
Makinex used World of Concrete in Las Vegas to debut its Forced Action Mixer (FAM).
The 265-pound FAM is 29.9x38.6x47.6x54.1 inches. It uses a controlled, “forced mixing” process rather than a traditional paddle action, delivering more uniform results with high-viscosity materials while reducing dust and cleanup time, the company says.
A sealed, AC-geared motor provides efficient, consistent torque with 1,100W output, supporting the 37.1-gallon mixing capacity.
A concave, inverted, anti-spill lid and replaceable liner are designed for less mess, less downtime, and extended service life. By keeping material contained during mixing, the FAM reduces material loss and helps maintain accurate mix ratios.
The removable liner allows fast changeovers between screeds, mortars, epoxy-bound aggregates, and cementitious materials, eliminating cross-contamination and reducing cleaning time between batches.
Adjustable legs stabilize the mixer, while rear transport wheels support loading and unloading. Additional features include a built-in vacuum port for dust suppression and removable mixing handles for easier cleaning and maintenance.
