Manatee County (Fla.) Fleet Services

Matthew is fleet maintenance superintendent for Manatee County (Fla.) Fleet Services, which is also a three-time Fleet Master. He works at Manatee County’s largest maintenance facility, where he is responsible for more than 800 vehicles and pieces of equipment and manages three distinct technician shifts.

“Matt maintains daily interactions with shop supervisors and technicians, transferring his vast, in-depth technical knowledge along to our younger maintenance technicians for the betterment of our operations,” says Michael Brennan, CEM, fleet manager.

Certifications: Equipment Management Specialist, AEMP.

Professional accomplishments: Participating in the development and implementation of our robust emergency vehicle and transit asset preventive maintenance processes.

Off the clock: My wife and I enjoy fine dining, wine and craft beer. 

Extracurricular: I volunteer at local animal shelters as well as for multiple United Way functions throughout the year.
