Trimble Announces Cross-Country ‘Everywhere You Turn’ Road Trip to Showcase Construction Technology

A custom Airstream trailer. Colorado mountaintops. NASCAR. Liverpool FC. Trimble's new road trip aims to show how construction technology shapes the world around us.

Most contractors know Trimble from machine control technology, survey equipment, and jobsite positioning systems. What they may not realize is how often Trimble technology shows up outside the construction site. This summer, Trimble’s Everywhere You Turn road trip will crisscross America in a custom Airstream trailer to showcase how its technology is weaved into our culture. It will be stopping at infrastructure projects, sports venues, and major landmarks to highlight the tech helping build, map, and move the modern world. The journey centers around the branded Airstream trailer that will serve as a mobile content studio. From this press release:

“Trimble is transforming how the world works, yet most people are not aware of the vital role technology plays in building and sustaining some of our most important assets and industries,” said Erin Jones, AVP of Brand at Trimble. “The Everywhere You Turn journey invites the world to see innovation in action and celebrate unsung heroes solving complex challenges — from surveyors measuring mountains and organizations building and maintaining resilient infrastructure to logistics professionals optimizing the global supply chain.”

What types of content will this trailer be creating?

The tour officially begins this month and will generate videos, interviews, social media content, and project spotlights from around the country. Stay hooked up to Trimble’s YouTube channel and follow it across LinkedInX, and Facebook to find that content. One of the first featured projects sounds particularly ambitious. The opening video episode, Trimble in the Wild: Surveying Colorado’s 14ers, follows a team attempting to remeasure the elevations of Colorado peaks Mt. Elbert and East Crestone using advanced surveying technology. The effort could potentially reshape the state’s famous list of 14,000-foot mountains. A team, including Trimble CEO Rob Painter, will scale the peaks and seek to-the-inch elevation data. That does sound pretty epic.

Where to find the Trimble trailer

Scheduled public appearances include:

  • Sonoma Raceway Fan Zone during the NASCAR Cup Series race on June 28
  • Soldier Field in Chicago during the Liverpool FC vs. Leeds United match on Aug. 2

The road trip will conclude at the Trimble Dimensions User Conference in Las Vegas from November 9-11, which the Construction Equipment crew will be at. The company says additional North American and international tours could follow in 2027.

Don’t miss our grade control feature

If you’re interested in how advanced technology is moving into smaller machines, check out our recent feature on grade control for compact track loaders. One of the most interesting entries came from Trimble. The company's Siteworks Machine Guidance Module turns a compact track loader into a flexible machine guidance platform using the same hardware contractors may already use for surveying and layout work. Instead of investing in dedicated machine-control hardware for every application, crews can move components between field tasks and equipment as needed. Check out that article right here.
