Genie Posts 0.4% Gain in Second Quarter
Terex said second quarter sales were up 4 percent to $1.1 billion compared to the same period last year, with sales in its aerial work platform group (Genie) up 0.4 percent.
Genie sales were $597.7 million. Increases due to price realization and higher demand were offset by the impact of foreign exchange rates, according to Terex.
Terex chairman and CEO John L. Garrison, Jr., said in a prepared statement that the company has a backlog of $3.5 billion, and increase of 51 percent year-over-year, “emphasizing sustained strong demand from our customers.”
“We are proud of our execution this quarter amidst global supply chain disruptions and significant inflationary pressures,” Garrison said.
