Sept. 3, 2013

Two compact-radius excavators have been upgraded with Tier 4-Interim engines and hydraulics: 116-horsepower R145LCR-9A and 157-horsepower R235LCR-9A. A Perkins 1204E engine is used in the smaller excavator, and a Cummins QSB6.7 powers the other. Operating weights are 33,020 pounds for the R145LCR-9A and 52,470 pounds for the R235LCR-9A. Three engine modes (Power, Standard, Economy) enable the machine to switch between full power and reduced fuel consumption. Redesigned hydraulic system provides “super fine” touch and improved controllability, the company says. Color LCD display cluster includes temperature, fuel level, and other maintenance items. Hi-mate Remote Management System allows operators and dealer service personnel to access a machine’s vital service and diagnostic information from anywhere with internet access.
