Ditch Witch HT275 Trencher

Aug. 1, 2018

The Ditch Witch HT275 trencher is the company’s largest and handles underground construction installations up to 10 feet deep and 26 inches wide. It is powered by a Cummins 275-horsepower Tier 4-F engine, and has a two-speed hydrostatic trencher-chain drive with an infinitely variable displacement motor.

Operating height is 136.7 inches, width is 100.3 inches, and length from nose to rear mount is 201.8 inches. It weighs 42,000 pounds.

Four hydraulic quick-disconnect blocks reduce the time it takes to change attachments, and the design allows operators to change rear attachments in the field without the use of heavy lifting equipment, according to the company. A patent-pending suspension mounts to the center of each track frame, which allows each track to float independently.

A power sliding cab and external cameras provide visibility. Other cab features include an air-ride suspension seat with 270-degree rotation, ergonomic joystick controls, and dual 7-inch displays.

A one-piece, fully opening hood offers easy access to the engine and all routine maintenance points. A wireless remote allows operators to perform daily service and inspections, including advancing the digging chain from ground level.
