Car Misses Lane Shift, Hits, Kills Construction Worker

In an early morning incident in Orlando, Florida, a driver of a Lexus missed an overnight lane shift on a construction site, crashed into two work trucks, and struck two workers. One was killed, the other was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, according to news reports.

The suspected driver attempted to flee the scene, hit a pickup truck, then attempted to flee on foot. Officers of the Florida Fish and Wildlife department, who had been hired to warn drivers of the lane shift, pursued and found the man. Charges are pending, according to report.
