Worker Killed in Cave-In

An equipment operator ran his machine into an obstruction on a job site, ended up in a hole, and was killed when a retaining wall collapsed on top of him, according to news reports. Conflicting reports indicate the worker either fell into the hole or was it in on his own accord.

The accident occurred in Florida at a bridge on U.S. Highway 27/441. The man was identified as 27-year-old John Joseph Terranova and was employed by Maylor Foundation Contractors.
