The L90H mid-sized loader is an H Series 2.0 machine that features updates to its transmission and torque converter to shorten cycle times and provide greater fuel efficiency.

It also has a higher tipping load and dump height than its predecessor. Electro-servo controls have adjustable sensitivity and allow operators to shift quickly between linear and single-lever controls, and a torque converter lockup with selectable modes lowers rpm and increases speed. Rim pull control is designed to reduce wheel spin and slippage, and delayed engine shutdown reduces engine wear by avoiding hot turbo shutdowns, Volvo says. External axle coolers minimize the risk of overheating and prolong the axle oil-change interval.
