Excavator Tips, Injuring Operator in Illinois

A Caterpillar excavator operated by McDonagh Demolition tipped over into a hole on a site in Oak Forest, Illinois.
The operator was trapped for about an hour before being rescued and transported to a hospital.

The excavator had a breaker on it, and video from the scene appears to show a section of collapsed pavement, opening a void into which the machine tipped.
