Engine delivers the same horsepower with better efficiency than the predecessor.

The 510 P-Tier Deere excavator replaces the 470 P-Tier. Operating weight is 111,885 pounds, and maximum digging depth ranges from 25 feet 6 inches to 27 feet 2 inches.

The 9-liter John Deere Power Systems engine delivers the same net horsepower as the 470 P-Tier’s larger 13.5L engine: 367 horsepower @ 2,000 rpm. The new engine is more efficient, driven in part by a new electronic, on-demand cooling system that replaces traditional hydraulic fans. The cooling package features 10 electric fans (E-Fans) that optimize airflow, while maintaining adequate cooling performance.

The 510 P-Tier is designed to reduce total cost of ownership over the full lifecycle, according to the company, in part due to a 10% decrease in maintenance costs and a 16% drop in repair expenses, compared to the 470 P-Tier.
