Komatsu Quarterly Sales Up 6%

Komatsu’s third-quarter sales grew 5.6% in the final three months of 2023 to about $6.5 billion, compared to the same period in 2022. The company’s 2023 fiscal year ends in March.

Equipment sales for the Japanese manufacturer totaled about $6.2 billion, up 6.3% over Q3 2022. The company cited improved prices and favorable exchange rates as spurring the growth in sales. Profit for the segment was up 22.2% over Q3 2022.

North American sales grew to about $1.7 billion in the quarter, up 30.3% from Q3 2022, excluding the effects of exchange rates.

Year to date, Komatsu sales were about $18.7 billion, up 10.1% from the previous year.
