The DX42-7 Develon excavator expands its line of mini excavators launched when the company split from Doosan Bobcat, severing its marketing agreement. The mini excavator is now manufactured by Develon yet retains the nomenclature as part of the Dash 7 Series.

An optional four-way swing blade on the front enables blade positioning and reduces the need for machine repositioning.
The DX 42-7 mini excavator has a thumb-ready arm whose thumb mounts are integrated into the arm, eliminating the need for any welding when adding a thumb attachment. Quick-coupler hydraulic piping is installed at the end of the arm, eliminating the need for additional accessories when installing a compatible quick coupler. Operators can choose between ISO and BHL control patterns.
Available as canopy- or enclosed-cab models, the enclosed cab has heating and air conditioning. The right joystick has a thumb switch that controls auxiliary hydraulic functions, and a thumb switch for boom swing control. A framed full-glass door provides visibility to the surrounding work area, and a rearview camera is available as an option. High-illumination LED lamps offer visibility of the work group, and a standard travel alarm is activated when the machine is moving in reverse motion or is operating on the job site. An optional rotating beacon is available to enhance safety in high-traffic areas or low-light situations.
The Develon Fleet Management system comes standard on the DX42-7 mini excavator and provides access to machine data. Through a user-friendly app and website, managers can monitor and analyze data.
