Volvo expanded its line of high-reach demolition excavators with the EC460CHR, which has an 89-foot-7-inch boom and arm. Users can change from standard configuration to high-reach boom in 30 minutes, the company says. The machine comes with a transportation cradle for both configurations. A modular joint system uses two hydraulically operated pins to quickly change from standard to high-reach. Powered by a 329-horse- power engine, the excavator has an operating weight between 107,730 and 136,160 pounds with a maximum forward reach of 54 feet 6 inches.
