Bobcat Offers Land Management Package for Its Largest CTL

The T86-2 turns into a brush-chewing beast with the ability to run drum and disc mulchers, and special guarding.

"Land management" is a formal term for the more fun "utter destruction." And that's what you can do with the new factory-installed Land Management package for Bobcat's biggest CTL, the T86-2.

It is built to handle right-of-way maintenance, trail development, property improvement, and land clearing operations. Those thorny bushes and saplings? They don't stand a chance.

Bobcat joins a trend of OEMs adding dedicated models and attachment packages for brush and land clearing.

The T86-B makes an excellent carrier.

As the largest and most powerful compact track loader in the Bobcat lineup, it delivers 115 horsepower, a 3,925-pound rated operating capacity, and Super Flow hydraulics with up to 42 gpm of hydraulic flow.

With a 12-foot lift height and the capability to run demanding attachments such as drum mulchers and disc mulchers, the T86-2 is built for high-production work.

The machine is also built to run hot. Its integrated cooling system is designed to support extended operationin hot, debris-heavy environments.

What's in the package?

The package includes more than 10 factory-installed accessories designed to help shield key machine components from debris and jobsite hazards, including a land management door, polycarbonate rear and side windows, Level II FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure), exhaust debris guard, coupler guard, tailgate guard with integrated taillight guards, headlight guards, tubeline covers, air intake pre-cleaner, triple-flange rear idler, and fire extinguisher.

How to choose the right attachments for roadside maintenance

That's a big list on the production and protection side, but there are also goodies for the operator.

They include a high-back heated air ride seat, an infotainment system, premium LED lighting, and side lights (for a better view of that debris flying away).

"Land management and forestry jobs demand equipment that can stand up to tough conditions," said Jeremy Harms, product manager, Bobcat Company. "This package gives customers a T86-2 that's factory-equipped with the features and protection needed for demanding land management applications, helping maximize productivity from day one."
