Attachment Imagination: Deere Releases Two New Attachments for CTLs

SmartGrade reaches Box Blade attachments and there's also a fire suppression solution for high-debris applications.

John Deere has always been imaginitive with its selection of attachments. If you can think of a need, Deere will likely have the attachment for you.

The company's Ag legacy probably has something to do with it.

But, if Deere doesn't already have what you require, customer suggestions go a long way — and the construction folks listen.

Witness the trend toward more fine grading work with compact track loaders. To that end, Deere is introducing the BX07 and BX08 SmartGrade Box Blade attachments, built specifically for the 333 and 335 P Tier John Deere CTLs,

The new attachments are meant to provide contractors with an integrated grading solution that combines John Deere-designed hardware, SmartGrade technology, and machine controls into one seamless system.

We've already seen how SmartGrade changes dozing.

The BX07 and BX08 Box Blade attachments are tailored for confident finish grading. Available today with 2D, Laser, and full 3D SmartGrade capability in the near future, they give customers flexibility to match grading technology to jobsite needs while expanding compact equipment fleet capabilities.

The new attachment models incorporate several features that enhance productivity and durability. Hydraulically actuated flip-up front wheels and adjustable wheel height provide added flexibility across changing jobsite conditions, while a recessed valve block supports operator visibility.

A heavy-duty box design with edge protection also helps maximize durability for demanding grading applications.

Compact track loader grade control systems explained

“Customers continue to look for new ways to improve their operations and performance while also maximizing their overall jobsite productivity,” says Emily Pagura, product marketing manager, John Deere. “Our new SmartGrade Box Blade attachments for the compact track loader lineup expand customer capabilities through precision technology that speeds up the grading process with accuracy.”

Would you believe...a fire suppression system?

In addition to the new SmartGrade Box Blade attachments, John Deere is expanding options for equipment protection with the availability of a fire suppression system for large-frame skid steer and compact track loaders.

Designed to be a seamless machine-integrated solution, a 20-pound fire suppression tank and compact control panel can be securely installed on the machine for added equipment protection for customers working in high-debris applications.
