CRSI 2008 Design Awards Winners

The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI) would like to announce the winners of their biennial 2008 CRSI Design Awards program. For more than 35 years, the CRSI Design Awards program has honored excellence in site-cast and conventionally reinforced concrete structures and acknowledged their designers. Winners in Construction's region are as follows:

Education & Healthcare Facilities Category, Award Winner: Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Janella Farm Research Campus, Ashburn, Virginia. Submitted by Rafael Vinoly Architects, PC of New York, New York. Fabricated by Trowbridge Steel Company, Sterling, Virginia.

Transportation Facilities Category, Honorable Mention: Bull Street Parking Garage Addition, Columbia, South Carolina. Submitted by Watson Tate Savory Architects, Inc., Columbia, South Carolina. Fabricated by SMI Rebar of Columbia, South Carolina.
