Construction Safety and Construction Accident News

Aug. 6, 2021

Construction safety is paramount on the job site and in the equipment shop. Construction is one of the most dangerous industries in which to work.

Many of the construction accidents can result in death, from falls to being struck by construction equipment. And injuries threaten construction safety not only from fellow workers and moving construction equipment, but also from the private vehicles, particularly in work areas near public areas, such as roads.

Education, training, on-site reminders, and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) all contribute to keeping construction workers safe on the project. The construction equipment shop is also a place for focus on safety. Injuries can occur as technicians work around heavy pieces of machinery, welding equipment, and high-pressure fluids.

See the items below for news on construction accidents and how to improve construction safety.
