ConocoPhillips has upgraded its Kendall GT-1 and 76 Super synthetic blend diesel engine oils to API CJ-4 quality. Lubricants are for use in diesels of light trucks. API CJ-4 standard meets lubrication requirements of engines compliant with EPA 2007 emissions standards. The lube is formulated to protect against engine wear, disperse soot, and maintain viscosity control of soot-laden oil, the company says.
