Caterpillar 323F L Excavator

Oct. 30, 2014

The 323F L excavator has a 161-horsepower C7.1 engine, which gives it 9 percent better fuel efficiency than the E Series predecessor. An automatic engine speed control (lowers engine rpm when the machine isn’t loading), an engine idle shutdown system (stops the engine after a pre-set idling interval), and an ECO mode (allows operators to tailor machine performance to the application) also aids fuel efficiency.

Major hydraulic components are placed in close proximity, which minimizes piping lengths and reduces frictional losses and pressure drops. Boom and stick regeneration circuits reduce the load on the main pumps.

Cat Grade Control Depth and Slope is standard on units with the 9.5-foot stick and standard-reach boom.
