The V518 features a hydraulic quick coupler to facilitate tool changes.

With a rated load capacity of 5,000 pounds and a lift height of 18 feet, the V518 VersaHandler TTC from Bobcat, West Fargo, N.D., has enough power and reach to perform a wide variety of jobs on any work site. Whether it's digging, loading, backfilling, or stacking hay bales, this machine will keep up.

The V518 is an alternative to a 1- to 1.5-cubic yard wheel loader, because it offers compact size, low ground disturbance, high travel speed, and great dump height. Plus, the V518 offers a low cab height (83 inches to the top) and a level of maneuverability and control that no wheel loader can match.

Weighing 10,846 pounds, the V518 provides a 2,000-pound capacity at maximum forward reach, a bucket breakout force of 8,093 pounds, and a maximum drawbar pull of 8,317 pounds. Maximum travel speed is 18.4 mph.

Powered by a side-mounted 100-horsepower Perkins 1104C-44T liquid-cooled diesel engine, the V518 is controlled via a single loader-style hydraulic joystick for boom and bucket functions. Boom extension and auxiliary functions are activated by variable control thumb-wheels on the joystick, and a single shuttle lever is used to select forward, reverse, high and low.

Like all VersaHandler TTC models, the V518 is available with a canopy or fully enclosed, climate-controlled comfort cab. The cab interior is more than 36 inches wide, and a suspension seat is standard.

Hydraulic Quick-Tach is available for easily hooking up and disconnecting attachments. Operators can hook up non-hydraulic attachments without leaving the cab. Attachments available include an angle broom, auger, bale handler, bale squeeze, buckets, grapple, pallet fork, tilt carriage and truss boom.
