Augers Save Work

With augers mounted in its hydraulic extensions, the ProPaver 813 RT asphalt paver from Bomag needs no laborers with shovels to pull material out to ends of the screed. Plus, says Bomag, with an 80-hp Isuzu diesel engine, the new paver can push fully loaded trucks up steep grades with power to spare. The machine provides paving widths from 16 inches to 16 feet, at speeds up to 150 feet per minute, and features an operator-selectable automatic mode for controlling the conveyor/auger feed system. Estimated list price (base model): $82,800.
