Women In Construction Week Recognized

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Detroit Chapter 183 is pleased to celebrate Women In Construction Week, March 1–8. NAWIC exists to enhance the success of women in the construction industry, and every year it dedicates a week in March to do just that. The focus of this week has been highlighting women as a visible aspect of the construction industry through programs like Camp MAGIC for high school girls and Block Kids for elementary and middle school students.

The Detroit Chapter encourages women employed in any aspect of the construction industry to attend the chapter's monthly meeting on March 11 at 6 p.m. The focus of this meeting will be networking and the advantages of NAWIC membership. There will be wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres. The meeting will be held at Winestyles, located at 17386 Haggerty Road, Livonia, MI 48152.
