AquaMaKKs water-cooled clutches and brakes from Wichita Clutch are air, hydraulic or spring-set actuated and feature non-metallic composite water jackets and heat-dissipating copper wear plates for heavy-duty continuous slip tension applications such as mining, logging and forestry operations, metal processing and metal forming, oil and gas, water/wastewater and offshore/marine.

Available in sizes ranging from 19 to 36 inches (friction lining O.D.), the units provide up to 3,400 HP heat absorption. The units are built with premium materials and finishes, and built-in corrosion protection ideal for marine and other harsh environments. Water jackets are made from composite materials so no optional salt water corrosion protection is required.

With fewer parts and a shim design, AquaMaKKs is a good solution for field retrofits, rebuilds or new OEM applications. Adjustment for wear is easily accomplished by removing shims without any unit disassembly.
