Volvo SD75 Soil Compactor Has No Spin Axle

Oct. 19, 2012

Volvo SD75 soil compactor has a 99-horsepower Volvo Tier 4-Interim diesel that uses a DPF. With a 66-inch drum, dynamic drum forces can be adapted to suit a range of terrain or depth of material. High and low amplitudes can be selected from the operator control panel, and two drum frequencies can be chosen to compensate for changing soil types and conditions. A center joint allows 38 degrees of articulation and 17 degrees of drum oscillation. The roller can operate on slopes up to 33-percent grade.

A heavily constructed axle integrated in the drive train provides an efficient rear-wheel drive system. Traction is increased with the No-Spin differential axle, which prevents tire slippage and improves gradeability, performance and productivity. The engine is backed by Volvo dealer service and parts support, as well as a 1,000-hour warranty.
