Volvo Appoints Scott Young as VP of Uptime

Volvo CE has appointed Scott Young as VP of uptime and customer support for sales region Americas. The appointment becomes effective June 1, though the transition to the new position as already begun.

Young will support both North and Latin America teams on developing projects and strategic plans, aiming to increase machine uptime and customer support, including further developments of Volvo CE’s dealer network.

He began working for Volvo in 2008, and has been directly involved in company projects that developed and implemented new technologies, such as for electric and autonomous machines. In his most recent role as director of electromobility and automation, he led Volvo CE’s programs to develop technologies demonstrated in the company’s electric site project, and electric compact machines.
