Wearing a face mask helps prevent coronavirus from spreading when social distancing is impossible or irregular. For construction workers, safety masks are not a new piece of personal protection equipment, but more workers will be wearing them than have in the past.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recommends construction workers by allowed to wear masks to prevent spreading the Covid-19 virus. Many sites currently require masks, and many states are suggesting wearing masks will be part of reopening strategies.
