Caterpillar CB-564D — a vibratory, double-drum roller suited for work on sub-base, base and surface courses — is fitted with 84-inch-wide drums, has an operating weight of 27,783 pounds, and has a 124-hp (net) 3054C Cat engine. Equipped with the company's five-amplitude vibratory system, the machine operates with a fixed frequency and provides amplitudes that perform well on coarse mixes and thicker lifts, as well as on thin-lift applications. When fitted with Cat's Versa Vibe system, it provides two frequencies and four amplitudes, allowing the operator to make changes from the cab.
