The TR5300 trommel screen is equipped with a 74-horsepower Deutz TD 2.9L Tier 4-F engine. The new screen has a chain-driven drum with speed to 24 rpm. Changing product sizing can also be done quickly with the quick-change screen design, says the company.

The TR5300 can handle multiple material types and the conveyors can lower parallel to the ground for enhanced control. It has controls through the machine display or through a remote-control system, and four programmable presets allow operators to save settings for different material types or to make adjustments based on incoming materials.

The quick-change screen design (five attachment bolts) provides the ability to change screen sizes to match required end-product sizing, and users also can tension the screen around the drum to add rigidity to increase the open area of the screen through the use of a smaller gauge wire. Vermeer offers an optional grizzly screen attachment that can be mounted over the hopper to prescreen large material and to create more consistently sized overs material. Maintenance features include access doors around the engine compartment and dual-hinged doors on both sides of the drum.
