Vermeer TG400A, TG525 and TG9000

Included in Vermeer's tub-grinder range are models TG400A, TG525 and TG9000, which have horsepower ratings of 400, 525 and 800/1,000, respectively. The TG9000, shown here, uses a Caterpillar 3412 engine with the two horsepower ratings noted. The TG9000 also is equipped with Vermeer's PT Tech wet clutch, which, says the company, uses a 2:1 gear-reduction ratio to provide twice the engine torque to the rotor and also reduces tip speed. Available as an option for all Vermeer tub grinders is the Duplex Drum Hammer Mill, which is designed to reduce maintenance and increase the life of major wear components.
