Filling a gap between the T1055 and T1255, the new T1155 provides 30 percent more power than the T1055 but has a very similar footprint. The T1155 is the first machine in Vermeer's track trencher line to offer the TEC Plus control system, which is a CAN bus-based system that improves diagnostic capabilities and gives the operator more viewing options. The machine features the largest single motor trencher drive. The 16-liter motor drives the head shaft on one side, allowing the cab to be positioned on the opposite side. Vermeer says that optimizes the visibility to the trench, conveyor and tracks. Digging depths up to 16 feet can be achieved. Estimated list price: $1,000,000.
