Trench-Tech

The Trench-Tech Series 2000 range includes four chain-type trenchers models — TT-2000C, TT-2300C, TT-2500C and TT-2700C — that provide horsepower ratings from 300 to 830 from Caterpillar engines. Operating weights range from 75,000 to 300,000 pounds. Cutting widths range from 12 to 72 inches, with cutting depths to 24 feet. The mechanical-drive design, says Trench-Tech, allows the chain to move slower in first gear (compared to hydrostatic-drive) to break up (not grind) the rock. The mechanical drive system provides four, high-torque digging speeds. Each model incorporates a replaceable digging-boom wear plate to extend service life.
