Volvo PL4608 and PL4611 pipe layers

Volvo PL4608 and PL4611 pipe layersThe Volvo PL4608 and Volvo PL4611, with maximum tipping capacities of 80 and 110 metric tons, form the core of a new range of excavator-based pipe layers expected to top out at 150 metric tons. Volvo pipe layers provide 360-degree swing with full lifting performance and functionality at all radius positions. Excavator pipe layers have a wider gauge and lower center of gravity than bulldozer pipe layers, and the boom is mounted closer to the machine’s centerline.

The Volvo PL4608 and Volvo PL4611, with maximum tipping capacities of 80 and 110 metric tons, form the core of a new range of excavator-based pipe layers expected to top out at 150 metric tons. Volvo pipe layers provide 360-degree swing with full lifting performance and functionality at all radius positions. Excavator pipe layers have a wider gauge and lower center of gravity than bulldozer pipe layers, and the boom is mounted closer to the machine’s centerline. Volvo says this improves lift capacity and stability. Boom lengths range from 30 to 38 feet. The Load Management System constantly computes load charts for 360-degree rotation and infinite machine geometries up to a 35-degree grade. Anti-two-block device is standard. These models can self-disassemble and reassemble without the need for other lifting machine assistance, in less than one hour.
