The 130-horsepower Caterpillar PL61 pipelayer has 40,000 pounds of maximum load capacity and an operating weight range of 39,890 to 41,095 pounds. A rear vision camera with a dedicated display provides visibility to the back of the machine during underground construction.
Both open and enclosed cab models feature a ROPS, as well as a rear window exit and quick drop release function.
Design enhancements include faster steering response than its predecessor and a “more robust fuel system” that stands up to lower quality fuel.
