Joe manages a team of eight field, shop, and support technicians for Titan, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lionmark Construction that acquires and manages a fleet of 1,200 for it and several other sibling firms. He is responsible for equipment availability, utilizing equipment forecasting, churn charts, and equipment age to determine appropriate timing for acquisition and disposal of equipment.
“Joe has played a key role in moving us from a company that repairs equipment to a company that effectively manages our fleet,” says Greg Durst, president. “He has accomplished this by strong leadership of his team, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to efficiently perform their jobs. Joe constantly works with our sister operating companies to ensure we have equipment ready for them when needed.”
Education: Joe has a diploma from Nashville Auto Diesel College in heavy equipment service technology.
Professional accomplishments: Joe helped form Titan four years ago and was involved with everything from choosing the logo, creating organizational charts, interviewing, and hiring team members and writing the maintenance schedules. As a team, Titan has improved equipment availability, captured accurate utilization, and lowered costs across the fleet.
Off the clock: Family time outdoors and operating a small-scale family ranch.

Extracurricular: Maintains a family cemetery, participates in walk/run fundraisers and job fairs at local high schools and trade colleges.
