Reker, estimator and project manager, is preparing to take over the family business, and has developed strong business relationships with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
“I have learned from Mitch that relationships are so very important in this industry, and that they can extend beyond the project you are working on,” says Justin Larson, president of LCS Inc.
Education: BS, South Dakota State University.
Professional accomplishments: AIC Level 1 Associate Constructor, advisory committee member for heavy equipment operator schools.
Off the clock: I like to learn from the more experienced contractors and engineers and build relationships to make the industry a fun and enjoyable place to do business where we can help each other when needed. I plan to start a regional contractors association to bring the area industry people together to not just socialize but to make sure we have a voice as a group regarding engineering practices, regulations and other legal issues involved with construction.
Extracurricular: Help to teach and mentor construction students at area technical schools.
