Toyota is striking for the heart of the half-ton pickup market with the new Tundra and its 5.7-liter i-Force V8 engine. The 32-valve, double-overhead-cam design with variable valve timing delivers 381 horsepower and 401 ft.-lbs. of torque and an ultra-low-emissions vehicle rating. The 5.7L i-Force V8 is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, for a power train that can haul 2,065 pounds of payload and tow 10,800 pounds.
