A 21-year-old construction worker is dead after a trench reportedly collapsed near a Crew Carwash in Noblesville, Indiana, on Monday leaving the man trapped for two hours.
According to a report from Fox 59 News, authorities descended quickly upon the carwash located at 146th Street and River Road. Workers had been working in a 4x8 foot trench to install a water pipe when the sides of the trench collapsed.
The deceased was later identified as Shawn Young of Elwood.
Photos from the scene appear to show rescue crews and excavators working along the perimeter of the Crew Carwash property.
A vacuum truck was also at the scene to assist in removing the soil.
