Truck driver arrested after struck-by accident in Colorado

Truck backed over a construction worker in Brighton, Colorado.

Police arrested the 46-year-old driver of a dump truck after he backed over and killed a man working on a job site in Brighton, Colorado. Police charged him with careless driving causing death.

According to the Brighton Police, the November 3 incident remains an ongoing investigation. The initial investigation determined that the driver of the dump truck was traveling slowly in reverse when he ran over the other worker, aged 65. He was unresponsive at the scene and later pronounced dead.

According to the police, the driver was uninjured, cooperative, and showed no signs of impairment.
