The telescoping boom on a Tadano all terrain crane folded in on itself, causing its load to fall on workers below. One was killed and four were injured in the accident in Miami, Florida.

News reports described the Tadano ATF 180G-5 crane as “200-foot” and said it was carrying “heavy renovation equipment” at a hospital project in Coconut Grove, Florida. Sims Crane & Equipment owns the crane, according to reports. Maximum capacity on the crane is 200 tons.

The dead worker has been identified as 32-year-old Mario Andino.
