Worker injured in NY when truck backs over him

Bridge project on Interstate 88 in New York

A worker was run over by a truck backing up on a project in New York. The truck ran over the worker’s legs and lower torso, according to news reports, as he was exiting a portable toilet.

The incident happened on a bridge project on Interstate 88 north of Interstate 81 in New York.

According to the accident report cited in the reports, the toilet was placed in a manner such that anyone exiting it would be in the path of construction traffic.
