Crane boom collapses across I70 in Maryland

The lattice boom of a crawler crane fell across Interstate 70 in Maryland, injuring the operator and damaging a car that ran into it.

All eastbound lanes were closed for several hours while the boom was removed.

The operator was taken to a local hospital; occupants of the car were uninjured.
