Shoring fails, worker killed in trench

A worker was killed when the shoring surrounding a manhole installation project collapsed in San Antonio, Texas.

According to local news reports, 51-year-old Shawn Pedregon was killed when the shoring collapsed around the 15-foot trench. It is not clear whether he was in the trench or fell in when the shoring collapsed.
