Trimble recently introduced new wireless-communication capabilities for its SCS900 Site Controller Software. As part of the Trimble Connected Site portfolio, the new version of SCS900 software is aimed at providing real-time transfer of data between the office and the jobsite. With this new capability, says Trimble, engineers can e-mail design changes or work orders to field crews, which can, in turn, transfer progress reports, on-site problems and as-built data back to the office. The new software operates on the Trimble TSC2 or TCU hand-held controller.
