When setting up a storage yard, keep these guidelines in mind

When setting up a storage yard, keep these guidelines in mind:

•  Store equipment so you can start the engine at least once a year.

•  Store the equipment facing forward toward the roadway, so you don’t have to get out and walk around the unit for identification numbers needed for inventory.

•  Store equipment off the ground by placing it on ground-level foundations such as cross ties or treated lumber.

•  Shrink-wrap equipment to avoid having to take it inside.
